This is how it unfolded...
It's kind of crazy to me...

I was waiting for someone to clip it...
It really is a *wow* moment.
Yeesh...
"... during your deliberations regarding prior interactions with law enforcement. That's the reason I've declared a mistrial... you're *excused* - thank you."
It's the murder of a 5-year-old little girl...
I would be beyond ashamed.
Where is the rock that I can crawl under forever.
I haven't really been following this trial, but now I kind of want to go back and watch it. It's the first case I've seen declared as a mistrial due to *jury misconduct*.

With the #MatthewFarwell case ramping up in Federal court next week, this is a very good primer if you're not familiar with it, or its timeline.
So many familiar faces it's not even fuckin' funny...
So, cameras are not allowed in federal courts - which is insane - but the court case against Matthew Farwell launches tomorrow.
The jury has been seated.
Fanning.
Tully.
Gaurino.
Sound familiar?

I will say, the defense attorney in this case weirds me out a bit. The misshapen suits and wild-eyed reactions to questions from the Court are a bit unsettling... π¬
He reminds me of Libertarian Darryl Perry a bit...
I really like the judge in this case. Outside of the jury, he goes over why he sustained or overruled an objection, because there haven't been many, which is helpful for those of us watching.
Oof...
These crime scene photos are rough. I'm actually surprised they're being broadcast.
We've got a yanked-out tampon, a used panty liner.
Fuck...
"Chunky, red vomit..."
Not really something you want to hear in your earholes. π€’
Starting the Faith Hedgepeth trial. I like the judge so far. The state's opening statement was pretty powerful. This is a disturbing case.
I dunno...
The defense attorney in the Caleb Flynn trial is pretty offensive, calling the trial and testimony a bunch of "nonsense", dropping "jokes" that get no laughs... the vibe I'm getting from his closing is that he really wants to see his client convicted.
Rosemary Scapicchio is amazeballs.
I am so excited to see what she does.
Great interview.
Rosemary Scapicchio calling out Proctor, who looked scared and bloated (I love that for him) at this hearing, as he pleaded the Fifth.
He deserves every last bit of this.
Judge Krupp was a total asshole today.
Bad look.
Here's the thing: if she'd been found not guilty by reason of insanity, she would have been institutionalized for the rest of her life - at least into old age -she would have faded into the news cycle.
Now a retrial is around the corner.
Good luck finding a jury in MA.
βHe was very arrogant,β the juror said. βHe really did not take anything that anybody said.β
This is kind of what I thought... and all it takes is one, digging their heels in and being utterly intractable.
This is not a good move by Reddington. A presidential pardon does not negate state charges.
This feels like grandstanding in a bad way.
