Our last night at Pipestem Resort was spent at the state park. 🌲 Jack licked me for encouragement as I huffed up a steep shortcut to Bolar Lookout Tower. 🧗‍♂️ At 3,000ft, the views of WV are stunning! ⛰️ So glad to share this childhood memory with him. 🐾

Hungry, Jack and I headed to Hinton! 🍕 Founded in 1873, this proud railroad town is home to fewer than 2,200 people and a gorgeous train mural at the Ritz Theater. We grabbed some pizza and enjoyed the views before a new discovery caught my eye...

Sandstone Falls is a must-see! 🌊 At 1,500ft wide, it’s a massive, roaring beauty in the New River Gorge. We walked the boardwalk to the island. Definitely the most scenic spot on the river.
