【KAMIHITO Today’s Word 2026.10.17】 ~ An Invitation from the Self You Once Were ~ A moment when you suddenly remember days long past “Why not spend some time with a mind free of thoughts, as you did back then?” “Why not, once in a while, visit that place where you once spent your days?” “Why not, after so long, meet someone you remember fondly again?” It may not be a mere illusion of memory, but rather the you of those days, who once lived there, gently and quietly calling out to you across time. For perhaps something deeply important, something the you of today truly needs in order to keep moving forward, lies sleeping in that time and in that place. People who are absorbed in increasing wealth and money People who take pride in numbers and are desperate to gather people People who seek to attract the attention of the opposite sex and satisfy their desires People who spend their time drowning in fleeting thrills and pleasures People who continue to pursue truth and all kinds of knowledge People who go beyond themselves and wish for the true happiness of others People who work each day wholeheartedly and sincerely for the sake of the world and its people People who gather and take action with the aim of saving others who are suffering …… Whether they are human beings living in physical bodies or Spirit-People who have left their physical bodies, all beings naturally attract one another and separate according to the quality of their own desires and their humanity, and dwell in worlds with wavelengths suited to each of them. They are nothing more than the result of what you have chosen for yourself from among countless options. Therefore, the person you are now is the quality of character that makes those choices. What you wish to let pass your lips, what kind of clothing you prefer, and where you wish to go— the same is true of every choice you make and every preference you have in your daily life. 【KAMIHITO Today’s Word 2026.10.13】 ~ What True Humanity Is ~ Human beings reveal their true humanity for all to see precisely when they are pushed to their limits. Those who always speak the truth, and those who lie to protect themselves. Those who are swept along by the sense of security in numbers and side with the majority, and those who, unafraid of standing alone, hold firmly to their convictions even when they are in the minority. Those who save others without regard for themselves, and those who readily abandon others for the sake of their own gain. Those who keep supporting others even in hard times, and those who turn on them depending on which way the wind blows. Those who bravely face difficulties from which there is no escape, and those who, overwhelmed by fear, turn their backs and run away. …… In this world, there are many different kinds of people. What matters is to accurately understand what kind of person each of us is now, without overestimating or underestimating ourselves; to sincerely ask ourselves, from this point onward: “What kind of person do I want to be?” “What kind of person do I never want to stoop to becoming?”; and to keep nurturing and refining the vessel of our humanity. Appearance, titles, age, educational background, income, the number of people, others’ evaluations, rumors...... No matter which choice you make while being misled by these things, in the end, the one who makes that decision is none other than you yourself. What is truly good, and what is bad? What is the truth, and what is a fabricated lie? What is true happiness, and what is unhappiness? The daily practice of questioning yourself and answering your own questions without fail, building up your experience, and refining yourself with your own hands is the unremitting effort without which there is no path to becoming genuine and able to discern truth from falsehood. For when you face one thing and continue to refine it steadily and carefully, a precious radiance is born—not one measured by comparison with others, but one that only you can radiate. "Persistence is power." "Even dust, when piled up, becomes a mountain." "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." "Dripping raindrops wear through stone." However, if one becomes caught up in these emotions and continues to be immersed in that state, one’s vessel of humanity will also become colored by the qualities that match the wavelength of those emotions, and will change in proportion to them. What we focus on and what we think differ greatly from person to person; they are not the same for everyone. That is precisely why the very fact that you choose which emotion to embrace and hold on to from among countless possibilities unmistakably reflects the state of your heart as it is right now. That is precisely why cooking is so deep and interesting: it is woven from diverse flavors—saltiness, sourness, spiciness, bitterness, and astringency, as well as strong and mild flavors, and even the range of sometimes finding things delicious and sometimes not tasty. Isn’t it because of such ups and downs and contrasts that the joy of tasting a single bite of sweetness stands out all the more? It seems to me that this closely resembles the relationships we weave day by day and the way all kinds of events unfold in our lives. The answer to that fundamental question is to experience all things, learn deeply, and transform ourselves. In other words, we are born and live on this earth precisely to achieve the evolution of our souls. The anguish that feels as though it tears us apart, the sorrow that brings tears that will not stop, the indignation with nowhere to go, the joy that makes our hearts leap, the warmth filled with tender affection, and the enjoyment that makes our hearts dance…… To experience firsthand all the changes in emotion and thought that we encounter, and, through them, to polish the vessel of our humanity, so that we may become beings who hold within themselves a greater and deeper heart of loving compassion—for this, all people who are alive are each undergoing precious training within the setting they have been given. Your choice will naturally reveal itself in keeping with your spirituality: whether to wish for the realization of a “truly good world” where all living beings live in harmony and share happiness with one another, or to wish for a “selfish world of domination” where others are subjugated for the sake of one’s own superiority and self-preservation. The direction of Earth’s future is not entrusted solely to a select few in power. It is the accumulation of the desires held by each and every Earthling living on this planet, and it is woven by the quality of the collective consciousness that we continue to send out each day. It can also be said that it is precisely because your values change that the scenery of the world you see and the shape of the future will all change completely. If, in your present circumstances, you are unable to find joy from the bottom of your heart, before you worry yourself sick, all you need to do is try changing things one by one, starting with what you can change with your own hands. For the state in which you can truly feel from your heart, “It is fun to be alive right now!” is the true you, as you are meant to be. 【KAMIHITO Today’s Word 2026.10.4】 ~ Where Assumptions Come From ~ Perhaps the first reason you came to hold that assumption was that, somewhere along the way, someone told you something, or you saw or were made to read something, or you were treated in a certain way. With what intention did that “someone” speak those words, write those texts, and carry out those actions? What if that person, driven by deeply personal and biased emotions or attachments, spoke and acted that way to drag those around them in for their own convenience? Unless you seek out for yourself what the objective truth is and whether something is true or false, you will remain manipulated by that person’s intentions, and without even realizing it, you will continue to be led in ways that suit them. In order to discern the truth of things, just as in a trial, you must not blindly accept the words of only one side. Unless you make sure to listen fairly to what both sides have to say, you will never know what is true and what is false. 【KAMIHITO Today’s Word 2026.10.3】 ~ The True Nature of What Is Causing You to Suffer ~ When you become accustomed to putting up a front, it gradually becomes harder to return to who you truly are, and your heart is driven into deep suffering. It is the same as continuing to lie to yourself, and in time it becomes a weakness in your own heart that can even threaten your very footing. To protect your position, to keep your business going, to stay ahead of others, to be liked and accepted by someone …… But if there were a world where you could be accepted and loved by those around you just as you are, as your true self, how much easier and more comfortable would life be? The true nature of what binds you and makes you suffer may be none other than your own strongly held assumptions. 【KAMIHITO Today’s Word 2026.10.2】 ~ Quietly Mending the World ~ As the old saying goes, “Children are mirrors of their parents.” Children grow up by imitating the adults around them just as they see them. The thoughts adults hold, the words they speak, their manners and daily actions, and even the way they live—every move adults make continues to have an immeasurable influence on children’s hearts, without their even realizing it. If we wish for a happy future for children, more than teaching and instructing them with words, we must keep showing them what it means to be good human beings, through how we live our lives. I think that it is precisely the accumulation of these quiet daily practices that, as a result, steadily leads to “the mending of the world.” Mina mina ureshi ureshi tanoshi tanoshi kawaru kawaru arigatai arigatai ai wo itadaki sashiage hirogaru◎ KAMIHITO 拝

Even when we cannot understand each other’s words, there exists a world of unspoken understanding, where we can sense one another through the voices we make and the subtlest gestures. Affection, wanting to be close, loneliness, irritation, fear, consolation, sorrow, joy, intimidation…… The time when our hearts truly connected as skin touched skin and life touched life becomes an irreplaceable memory, and continues to be engraved deep within the soul as an afterimage that never fades. With heartfelt gratitude for the encounters between one life and another: “Thank you for crossing paths with me♡” Mina mina ureshi ureshi tanoshi tanoshi kawaru kawaru arigatai arigatai ai wo itadaki sashiage hirogaru◎ KAMIHITO 拝

【KAMIHITO Today’s Word 2026.9.30】 ~ A Life That Becomes More Interesting with Age ~ Life becomes more interesting as we grow older. This is because the true meaning of the words left behind by those who came before us and by our elders gradually sinks deeper into our hearts as we advance in age. As the things we once did as a matter of course become things we can no longer do, one by one, we come to know what is truly irreplaceable and precious. As the excessive confidence of our younger days is stripped away, we naturally come to feel humility deep within our hearts. Our once-sharp words soften and turn into a courteous way of speaking, and the occasions when we feel like bowing our heads to others naturally increase. Wrapped in the humility of feeling apologetic and the gratitude of feeling thankful, we also become able to deeply savor the seasons of life, quietly gaze at the scenery around us, and walk slowly, one step at a time. That is precisely why growing old is equal to being granted a profound joy in life. Mina mina ureshi ureshi tanoshi tanoshi kawaru kawaru arigatai arigatai ai wo itadaki sashiage hirogaru◎ KAMIHITO 拝

【KAMIHITO Today's Word 2026.9.29】 ~ Enjoying the Setting Called "Now" ~ Within the environment and conditions we are given "now," how much can we accomplish? Exploring those possibilities from many angles may well be the challenge of "now" that has been given to us. It is just like enjoying "how we can use our ingenuity to make a delicious meal," using only limited ingredients and cookware, and the environment at hand. In an environment where everything is provided and we are blessed with more than enough, new ideas and creative ingenuity are, on the contrary, less likely to arise. Rather, precisely because there are constraints that leave us a little short, we mobilize all our wisdom, asking, "How can we make up for it, and how can we give it shape?" This, too, becomes an irreplaceable opportunity for learning. Whatever the conditions may be, let us enjoy the "now" of each moment.
