I am thinking about changing the Sherlock & Jack covers, but for now they’re up as they are. If you’re interested in reading the books, search for the title with my name on Amazon.
Have a great weekend - I’m off to start mine now! #booksky #historicalmystery #authorupdate #thiswritinglife 6/6

4) I have the rights back to the ebooks for the Mrs Hudson & Sherlock Holmes and the Sherlock & Jack series! So I’ve spent a big chunk of the last 2 days putting them back up on Amazon. Seriously, it’s so fiddly. #booksky #historicalmystery #authorupdate #thiswritinglife 5/?

A quick screengrab of the covers for the two series (I'm putting the previous covers back on the ebooks because the most recent ones belong to the publishers). Mrs Hudson & Sherlock Holmes up top, with a gold frame and lettering and silhouetted figures looking mysterious in olden days London. On the bottom, the Sherlock & Jack covers which are more abstract - a glowing jar on A Jar of Thursday, a necklace on Something Blue and a phoenix feather on A Phoenix Rises.

...so I’ve taken to calling it New Boots and Panties (I don’t think there are any of either in the book, but still)
2) I ended up chatting with the voice artist who’s recording the audiobook of The Magical Bookshop books 4-6...

Time for the Friday update - it’s been a busy week, and yes I do have news!
1) We finalised the cover for the next Lulmouth Bay book, A Tale of Books and Potions. For some reason, I can never remember the title...

The cover of next book, Books and Potions. It has gold lettering on a black ground with book pages and potion bottles flying about, plus magical sparkles (very important). It's fantasy romance and there's at least one unexpected dragon. You'd like it.

In my experience there is little money, but much good will in the Arts. Yesterday I was asked to share a few tips by an international student at Lincoln Uni who is writing a novel. It made me reflect on the many, many kind peeps who have helped me. #Thiswritinglife #writers #writing #photography
