goddamn this movie is great - still waiting for someone to explain why this movie got such lousy distribution - it’s entertaining as hell, commercial, fast-paced, suspenseful, gorgeous - Russell Crowe, Ethan Hawke - dad movie catnip - no? Hawke deserves an Oscar nom push. #filmsky #movies #TheWeight

It didn’t take a load off Annie but it’s a fine old fashioned caper movie . #TheWeight is on at @irishfilminstitute.bsky.social #film #cinema also hard to believe it wasn’t shot in Wicklow !

The kind of movie designed to make Dads or those with Dad-inclinations alternate between gruff monosyllabic nods of approval and "they don't make 'em like that anymore"s. (It's me, I have Dad-inclinations. This rocked.) #TheWeight #FilmSky

Now in UK cinemas, The Weight, starring Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe. This smart, period heist drama, about the transportation of gold through the woods, is worth...well, at least a look.

#PadraicMcKinley has struck GOLD (no pun intended) with #TheWeight.

A slow burn, tense, almost horror film that is saturated with beauty, character, amazing visuals & evocative soundtrack.
