Inktober day 15: Hooray!

A bit of a silly one today! As a very small business owner, I get a lot of joy when someone decides to buy something from me, when they could have bought from so many other talented artists!

Locked smartphone on a table displaying a Shopify lock-screen notification announcing a new order for three items totaling $147, with the time 7:51 and date Thu Oct 14 faintly visible.

Inktober day 14: Lady

Some of you might recognize her. Milady de Winter, from my favorite childhood cartoon, "Sous le signe des mousquetaires" . If you know, you know.

As soon as I saw "lady" my brain went straight to Milady, so I drew her!

#inktober #art #procreate #theuglycatstudio #lady

Painterly portrait of Milady de Winter, a mysterious, contemplative masked woman with long green hair and bright green eyes, a black eye mask and red‑gem choker, holding a gold mouthpiece to her lips.

Today's inktober prompt is "Flimsy!"

I don't know if it's 100% successful, but I tried to have the cup look like it's been sitting a while and the coffee has made it soggy.

#inktober #coffee #digitalart #theuglycat #theuglycatstudio

Paper takeaway coffee cup with dark coffee dripping down its sides and pooling on the table, a wooden stir stick inside, evoking a messy morning or hurried routine.

Day 11 of inktober! We're a third of the way!!

The promt today is "rescue", so I drew our beloved cat Woodhouse, who was rescued from the forest when he was a small baby!

Inktober day 08: Stinky. Stinky but delightful!!

As I'm creating this post and looking at the thumbnail, I feel like the cheese needs more shadows. But it's a daily drawing challenge, and there's no time left, so it'll stay as-is! 😅

#inktober #stinky #cheese #theuglycat #theuglycatstudio

Painted study of a wedge of soft-ripened cheese with a white bloomy rind and creamy, slightly blue-veined interior resting on a wooden board against a loose, dark painterly background.

Inktober day 07: Panic.

It's pretty fitting. I've run out of drawings I had pre-prepared, and the amount of work I have in my day job is going up. Panic sets in! 😂

#inktober #panic #art #theuglycat #theuglycatstudio

A tense choice between alarm and calm: two glowing circular buttons—red (left) and green (right)—with the word "Panic?" stamped above and a disconnected black telephone handset below, suggesting a decision to trigger or avoid an alarm.

Today's Inktober's prompt is "ogre". I didn't really feel like drawing Shrek, so instead I did an ogre's fine dinner.

Humorous emergency poster instructing to "gently smack the nearest cat butt" so "love will start to flow freely," shown as two panels with a hand touching a cat's rear and small icons of a grumpy then happy cat with hearts.
