Giving a somewhat lackluster review of Isabel Allende's "The Wind Knows My Name". IMO it's just not her best work but still worth reading.
For #spookyseason we have #thereformatory from Tananarive Due. The premise alone gives me chills 😩

I have seen #TheReformatory recommended by a lot of horror book fans, and I gotta say, i'm only a third way in and it's addictive.
It's set in 1950s America era during the #segregation, written by a Black woman, & the creep factor gives a feel of #TheShining.
So far, so good!
