@manofthetown.bsky.socialThanks for hanging out, Frightclub. I actually stayed awake for all of this one. Have a good night, everyone. #Frightclub #theoakroom
@ibetta.bsky.socialOh, the cat technique? I know it well! Emmy has gotten good at acting deaf lately too… I swear she shoulda been a lil furry actress!
@squidlow.bsky.socialAlright I'm officially a Citizen Skull fan now.
@frightya.bsky.socialSteve was keeping Paul in the bar until the hitman got there. That's why he wanted to talk. That was his job that night.
I don't know that he hated him, but it was true he'd fallen in with a bad crowd. The worst crowd.
@squidlow.bsky.socialThat was one of the more brutal beating scenes I've seen in awhile. He didn't just slam his head into the bar and movie-knock-him-out either. The whole thing was pretty vicious and drawn out.
@ibetta.bsky.socialYeah I did the same. The rewatch to see the layers coming out that I missed the first time. Good storytelling.
@mdk1701.bsky.socialGoodnight storytellers. Goodbye RJ Mitte.

@mdk1701.bsky.socialWelp, rest in peace, RJ.
Read all his costars tributes. There are many. He will be missed by friends and fans.

@frightya.bsky.socialIt's almost better on rewatch I think. The first time I saw it, I initially put it on just thinking what the heck, and wasn't paying very close attention.
Then after that ending, I immediately watched it again. 🤣 And that time saw all the pieces!

@jimmydetroit.bsky.socialSo doies Steve hate the bartender he was talking to? It's not like he was warning him. And it's not like he didn't know what was going to happen. And it's not like he was afraid of the guy coming through the door.
@ibetta.bsky.social😂🤣😂 ya don’t even need a cape? I am impressed.
@manofthetown.bsky.socialIt took a long time to get there, but that ending was great. I liked that a lot. #Frightclub #theoakroom
@ibetta.bsky.socialHe had three beer bottles right there! It’s not like he didn’t have a weapon too. I mean granted he’s a Tommy, but…
@squidlow.bsky.social@frightya.bsky.socialReview of #TheOakRoom by Zachary Strupp
Mr. Strupp doesn't seem to have known that RJ Mitte had cerebral palsy, and criticizes his performance for some of the symptoms. This is enraging.
However! The review also contains a great explanation of the film's ending. And beginning.
