Background:
Shana grew up on one of Vallanar's islands, where she had a pretty normal upbringing.
When she was 23, she went with a friend to the islands main city, where an accident happened that caused Shana to lose her right eye. Some things happened because of that incident, which resulted in Shana taking up adventuring to earn money.
While on a quest with a party, they found a teleportation circle, which they used, but something was wrong with it, so they go separated. Shana ended up finding herself a bit north of Dewshire, where she soon after found the rest of our group of player characters.

Character Design:
“Shana is based of my Final Fantasy 14 character, Shana Majula, and is supposed to look more or less the same as her. The only differences is that Shana (DnD) has different looking clothes, slightly different hair, has actual ears and has a scar over her right eye.” - @Magnus Seeker

Fun Facts:
Her first name isn't actually Shana, but she shortens it to Shana.

Despite wearing an eyepatch, she can normally see fine.

Mayrae of House Arabval is a devoted worshipper of her Goddess Lolth, The Silver Weaver.
If you were to ask her about her upbringing, she would say, “Just a normal childhood”, but in reality it was far from it.
In the Drow society, women are the ones that rule, and have the final say. Death and murder were also a very common sight, even for a child. Status meant everything, and if you stepped out of line, you would lose more than your life.

Worship was a thing everyone had to do, but only the most devoted women were deemed worthy to serve their Goddess directly. And even then, you had to keep proving yourself. Mayrae was lucky to get into the clergy but only because the one before her in line were assassinated. So she felt like she really had to prove her worth.

Life in the clergy wasn’t easy at all. There was a clear hierarchy and only by violence would she be able to climb the social ladder. While she hasn’t yet gone to the top, she did establish herself at a respectable step. (Don’t ask her what she has done to get this far, she will not tell you)
Now she spends a lot of time going on raids and crusades as the speaker of The Silver Weaver and will do everything to pass all trials thrown at her, and please her goddess.

Important things to Mayrae:
One of the things that are important to her is to follow her Goddess no matter what. She values feminine beauty. That’s why Mayrae takes really good care of her hair and keep it long, even when it becomes impractical.
She as a comb that’s been carved out of bone and the teeth are covered in silver and she spends an hour or two every day to comb her hair and make sure that its pretty and clean.

“I have but one goal: To avenge my kingdom by killing the Lady of Ravens once and for all”

~ BACKSTORY ~
Selûne is a noble who was locked away in a tower (which turned out to be an old wizard tower), and when she finally got away and returned home - with newfound friends and her familiar - the place was being destroyed by the Lady of Ravens. With her party she tried to defeat the goddess, but failed. She was the only survivor.

~ CHARACTER DESIGN CHOICES ~
“I was given a color palette and some reference too ofc but to make this their own character, I chose to add an eye like symbol that also reminds me of a flower bud. I gave the necklace some gold wiring to hold it in place. Some chains too which was really fun to make! Added some leaf designs to the waist section and mask - the leaf motif actually continues down to the inside of the dress and the points from the ends of the dress also reminds me of a flower bud which in my mind signals one of the life stages. With the communication between Shau and I this babe of death came to life✨” - @littlelamami.bsky.social

~ FUN FACTS ~
Selûne wears her dead familiars claw around her neck and use it when she reanimates her beloved raccoon (and cries herself to sleep).

The skull hanging from the tip of her hat is from a Rat, so she calls the hat her rhat (rat-hat).

She always wears the mask to hide her true identity when walking among people in public.

“Heiya! My name is Flora Fawnsprout!
I'm a pallid elf, coming from the Ashlight Grove, who got picked up by the druid family, ‘Fawn’. I got my best friend and familiar Spud with me at all times, and we get into all sorts of stuff! with our curiosity, energy and positivity and LOVES learning about the world.

We seek to find information about some mysteries we have uncovered”
