I thought I would continue Revision 7 tonight and strengthen Ch 5.
What did I do instead? I spent ~4 hours considering a “what if” scenario and eventually (possibly) discovered a potential plot hole, then almost completely rewrote my MC’s backstory.
And now it’s 4 am.

I had someone today ask how far I was on my book, and if “Revision 8” was done yet.
I can successfully say I have spent a full week - and Ch 1 is now locked in of Recision 7, and I probably still have a good 4-6 months ahead of me, at least. Not a week.

I would LIKE to say that I relaxed on my day off.
What did I actually do? I had "recover" on my TODO list. That...did not quite happen.
I did plan out one (not fully write) 1 scene in Ch 1 of Revision 7. So...that counts, right?

Well... I did not expect to spend the last *looks at clock* 6 HOURS doing research on a possible idea, only to completely re-invent a minor piece of information into a major icon throughout the story. At least I have some more info on how Revision 7 will work #author #amwriting #theemberlegacy

PROGRESS! After last night's exhaustion, I finished Ch 37's draft and 37B because it was long. I'm now outlining the final chapters so the story can end naturally. Can't say I've "solved writer's block", but it is progress. #author #theemberlegacy

Sit down to write. Want to write. Realize that the natural progression of the timeline over the past 10 chapters was WAY too fast, and spend the next few hours clarifying "how many hours have passed." Ch 37 will have to wait...again, because it is currently 3 am #author #theemberlegacy #amwriting
