Super late to the game in watching this, but I actually am obsessed with this show! I started watching it on the plane the other day and ugggh sooo good! #TheBurbs

Well, when an actor decides to do stand up and make that a big part of their career, they are putting themselves out there for criticism.

Also, to everyone at #TCMParty I hope you all enjoyed #TheBurbs I love it too I’m thinking maybe I shoudn’t have made it my referendum on late 80s stand up comedy.

Yep!

Andrew Dice Clay actually gave one or two decent performances. His standup . . #TCMParty #TheBurbs

Just because you are funny in movies, doesn't mean that you are funny on stage. That happens a lot!

There was a 2nd ending were the Klopeks not only did it, but killed Tom Hanks and got away with it while the cops were distracted upon discovering the bodies of the garbagemen

#TCMParty #TheBurbs

Also another Corman disciple Bruce Dern in #TheBurbs - remember when we saw him in Vegas with Roger, Joe Bob, and Darcy 3 years ago in Vegas And we shared BBQ together #TCMParty #MutantFam

And "Tom Hanks is the new Jimmy Stewart" makes the similarities even more interesting. #TheBurbs #TCMParty

Just realized #TheBurbs is a whacked out suburbian comedy remake of #RearWindow, in which a man (and a couple of others) is convinced his fellow neighbor is a murderer. #TCMParty

Guessing that Geraldo Rivera will find more in the Klopek's basement than he did in Al Capone's safe.

True that! 😂

The message: Don't mess with suburbanites. #TheBurbs #TCMParty

I remember hearing they were going to have the Klopeks be entirely innocent, but test audiences hated it, so we got this ending. Can't say they were too wrong... for once. #TCMParty #TheBurbs

He’s good in #TheBurbs and he had a funny cameo as a security guard in Gremlins 2, but he was your typically 80s white guy stand up who’s act was basically criticizing people who weren’t exactly like him.

Love that nobody's cleaned up the trash from the other day. #TCMParty #TheBurbs

Can't leave now! He called the Pizza Dude! #TheBurbs #TCMParty

1989 was a really good year for the Princess #TheBurbs and When Harry Met Sally and she published Postcards from the Edge 2 years earlier so her other great career as a writer was going strong.

Mmmm, looks like the Freelance Shame Squad (TM - MST3K) is in #TheBurbs #TCMParty
