πŸŒ™πŸ¦Š Ever catch a fox on your security camera overnight?

Foxes are often active around dusk, nighttime and early morning. Repeat visits to the same yard can be a clue to check for food, rodents, water or shelter attracting them.

Watch where they goβ€”not just when they appear.

🐿️ Why do Texas rock squirrels dig?

Their underground burrows provide shelter from predators, extreme temperatures, and harsh weather. They also create protected spaces for raising young.

But digging near gardens, walkways, or retaining walls can sometimes cause property problems.

I’m from New England. Though I’ve been in Texas for 16 years, the wildlife still amazes me. Here’s a #RingCamera capture of a #skunk and #possum (#opossum) peacefully coexisting on our back porch around 230a last Thursday (10/8/26). #ATX #TexasWildlife #TexasCritters

Cute backyard visitor or potential troublemaker?

Rock squirrels are native to Texas, but their burrowing habits can sometimes damage landscaping, disturb soil, and create holes near retaining walls.

Keep an eye out for repeated digging around your property!

A fox checking your trash may have found an easy meal.

Unsecured garbage, pet food, food scraps and rodents can attract foxes to properties. If food stays available, they have a reason to return.

Secure the food source and help keep wildlife wild.

🦊 If a fox keeps returning to your property, something may be attracting it.

Pet food, garbage, rodents, water and shelter can all make developed areas useful to wildlife. Reducing those attractants can help discourage repeat visits.
