@obsgession.euπ OBSGESSION materials were spotted at the #TETTRIXkickoff. π§©
@tettrix.eu aims to build an aligned European taxonomic system that delivers data to science, #policy, and society.
Crucial efforts towards the important end goal - #harmoniseddata, expertise, and services.
@bioagora.euπ Coming soon: A new Knowledge Exchange Network, courtesy of the new #HorizonEurope project @tettrix.eu!
𧬠As just announced at the #TETTRIXkickoff, the Taxonomy KEN will support the Science Service for Biodiversity that BioAgora is developing - stay tuned!
@tettrix.euπ‘π± @taxonomyfriend.bsky.social from @ibotcz.bsky.social explained how WP10 will help bridge knowledge gaps in taxonomy through the TETTRIX Satellite Projects. The projects will focus on dark taxa, invasive species, biodiversity monitoring & more.
π Calls open in late 2027!
@tettrix.euWrapping up the #TETTRIXkickoff today! π«Άπ§πͺ
On this final day, we will learn more about the Satellite projects of TETTRIX β a group of third-party projects that will be established to address different taxonomic challenges identified by TETTRIX.
Stay tuned to hear more about them! π
@tettrix.euπ’π± As part of WP9, @pensoft.net will be responsible for the successful branding, communication, and dissemination of project activities and results.
Follow our scientific stories under #TalesofTaxonomy, and save the date for #TaxonomyRecognitionDay β 23rd May! π
@tettrix.euπ Iasmi Stathi from @nhmcrete.bsky.social presented WP8βs plans for the TETTRIX Academy β an e-learning platform for future taxonomists.
The Academy will provide learning resources, introduce a certification system, and help pilot the Taxonomists4Future initiative.
@tettrix.euπ€π WP7, led by @ufz.de, will establish a Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN) for Taxonomy to strengthen links between taxonomy and EU & global biodiversity policy.
@tettrix.euπ«Ά As leaders of WP6, the University of Lisbon will put responsible research and innovation (RRI) practices into action.
Together, these efforts will help foster an inclusive, equitable, and responsible working environment for everyone involved in the TETTRIX project.
@tettrix.euTETTRIX will collaborate with the private sector, in this case @kpmgnl.bsky.social, to identify industries where biodiversity and business can create the greatest synergies πΌ
π‘ The collaboration will also help improve existing tools for accessing biodiversity data.
@pensoft.netThe #TETTRIXkickoff is underway in Brussels!
π This @horizoneu.bsky.social project will build a European taxonomic system delivering #FAIR, species-level #data to #science, policy and society.
π€ We are excited to be part of this project aimed at driving the shift to a nature-positive future.
@tettrix.euποΈπΏ As part of WP4, @sgn.one will develop and sustain the TETTRIX Marketplace β a central hub for accessing taxonomic tools, services, and expertise.
βWhy does it matter? The Marketplace will help create a structured system for aggregating, curating, and publishing taxonomic data.
@tettrix.euWP3 aims to build a pan-Europe Species AI Lab (SAIL) and connect it to other infrastructures, such as @dissco.bsky.social, so we can study how to better discover species with the help of genomic workflows π¬π¦
@tettrix.euWP2 of TETTRIX will develop the GHOST framework for integrating dark taxa into biodiversity data and strengthen Europeβs nomenclature services π»π±
@tettrix.euππ¦ @aguentsch.bsky.social from @freieuniversitaet.bsky.social shared the plans for WP1: TaxoTrack, an open platform for compiling and documenting resources for taxonomic research.
Taxotrack will integrate nomenclature backbone services from WP2 and interfaces from Π’he Marketplace.
@tettrix.euStarting off day 2οΈβ£ of the #TETTRIXkickoff βοΈπ§πͺ
Today, our TETTRIX partners will introduce us to their most important tasks for the next few years while going through all four of the TETTRIX pillars β Integrate, Transform, Upskill, and Demonstrate π‘π€
@tettrix.euOur main collaboration partner for TETTRIX will be @biogeneurope.bsky.social! π€π§¬
BGE+ is a Horizon Europe project, working on protecting biodiversity through genomics. Together, the two projects will address common challenges and ensure long-term impact for policy.
@tettrix.euMeet our representatives from the EU Commission! πͺπΊ
β‘οΈ Policy officer: Gilles Doignon from DG RTD, who showed us why we need to #KeepCalmAndDescribe!
β‘οΈ Project officer: Colombe Warin from REA, who will guide and support us during our ambitious taxonomic journey.
#TETTRIXkickoff
@tettrix.euAt the center of the TETTRIX project is our coordinator Ana Casino from @eurotaxonomy.cetaf.org π
Ana is the executive director of CETAF, and she and her team will lead WP11, setting up the building blocks for the next four years and making sure everything stays intact.
@tettrix.euHello from our #TETTRIXkickoff meeting in Brussels! ππ§πͺ
In the next 3 days, all TETTRIX partners will gather at the @naturalsciences-be.bsky.social, where we'll exchange big ideas for the future of the project. Follow along to hear how each partner will help make taxonomy more visible and accurate πΏ
@tettrix.euThe TETTRIX team will meet for the first time at the #TETTRIXkickoff meeting! π§πͺπΏ
