A WARNING FROM 2020: PEACE, PESTILENCE, AND A CALL TO REPENTANCE Long before 2020, Donald Trump was already speaking about becoming a peace negotiator between Israelis and Palestinians. The Guardian later published photographer William Coupon's account of a 1983 Manhattan Inc. photo shoot. The photograph shows Trump holding a white dove. Coupon explained that the accompanying article discussed Trump's desire to become a peace negotiator between Israelis and Palestinians, so they chose the dove to symbolize peace. That historical detail becomes particularly interesting when compared with what happened decades later. On January 28, 2020, Trump presented his Peace to Prosperity plan, proposing a two-state arrangement involving Israel and a future Palestinian state. Then, as 2020 unfolded, COVID-19 spread throughout the world, and on March 11 the World Health Organization characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic.

Sermon: Follow Jesus, Not Man New Age movements can lead people into following spiritual leaders, gurus, teachers, or people claiming special spiritual knowledge. Christians must be careful not to fall into the same trap by blindly following pastors, prophets, apostles, politicians, influencers, or any other human leader. Following Jesus does not mean surrendering your discernment to another person. No pastor, prophet, politician, or spiritual teacher should take the place that belongs to Jesus Christ. “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” - Psalm 146:3 KJV Jesus did not say that a religious leader was the way. He said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 KJV That is why Christians should read the Scriptures for themselves. When Paul and Silas preached in Berea, the Bereans did not blindly accept everything they heard simply because religious teachers said it. Scripture says they “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” - Acts 17:11 KJV

I believe Trump is the Antichrist, the boastful little horn, and a false Christ figure. I am not asking anyone to accept that interpretation merely because I say it. Search the Scriptures. God Did Not Give Us Trump as Our Shepherd Texts: John 10:11; Hebrews 13:5; Daniel 7:8; Matthew 24:4-5; Psalm 146:3 Before the Republican midterm convention, Donald Trump resurfaced the “God Made Trump” video. The video portrays Trump as a God-given caretaker and calls him a “shepherd to mankind” who will “never leave nor forsake” people. Christians should recognize how serious that language is. Jesus said: “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John 10:11, KJV Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd. Trump is not. Scripture also says: “For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5, KJV That promise belongs to God. Christians should not transfer language belonging to God and Christ onto a political leader. This is especially concerning to me because I personally believe Donald Trump fits the biblical picture of the Antichrist and the boastful little horn.
