Alligator surface tension
(Alligator mississippiensis)

submerged in calm marsh water

CREW pen flint strand lakes & trails
Bonita Springs, Florida 8-21-26

#ColorADay #BlueTue #eck #wildlife #nature #threeWordGenre #art #telephoto #photography #native #reptiles #marshlife #herps #herpSky

Telephoto shot of an alligator's head skimming the water. Viewed in profile facing toward its right, showing its left profile, the reptile's dark head and prominent bronze-brown eye rest in the calm water, while a vibrant, deep blue hue outlines the submerged contours of its snout and head just under the surface tension. The upper right surface of the frame displays a bright blue sky reflection, which smoothly flows and transitions into a soft, pale blue-gray gradient across the entire lower half of the background.

The AF is not as fast as any modern lens, but when it hits, it's GOLD! An affordable 300/2.8 does NOT come around often, I'm just saying...who's gonna get it? :) #FastGlass #telephoto #Nikon #Nikkor

A single Eurasian collared dove perched on an old maple tree covered in lichen and weathering a spate of rain. The whole frame is dark and moody with only the lush green grass in the blurred background indicating this time of the year ought to be brighter.

Can I join your band?
Male Banded Demoiselles fight for over the nice bit of river view territory. This was using a 500mm f4 telephoto lens with an EF life size converter on a Canon R5.

Or maybe you want a #SonyEmount #telephoto lens - we've got one for crop-sensor (3 copies, actually) and one for full-frame!
