Anthropic warns AI models are months away from self-replicating across smart home devices!
Evidence: IoT threat warnings, lab tests on TV boxes, regulatory capture debate
#AI #TechPolicy 🌐

Alethekanon Psochic Hegemony Assessment Graph for Anthropic Warns AI Models Could Replicate Themselves Across Home Devices Within MonthsCore Verdict Card for Anthropic Warns AI Models Could Replicate Themselves Across Home Devices Within Months: Claim, Reality, and Verdict coordinates.System Analysis Details:

Context: Sub-Audits Breakdown:
- Anthropic Safety Labs: COND (-0.7, -0.8) — Valid technical test wrapped in exaggerated hype.
- Tech Titans Lobbying: FAIL (-0.9, -0.9) — Weaponizing fear for antitrust immunity.

Nuance: Anthropic researchers tested small models spreading across cheap Android TV boxes, arguing that decentralized AI worms are hard to shut down because they lack a single server switch.

Breakdown: The Poison:
Valid cybersecurity warnings about IoT vulnerabilities are hijacked by monopolists to argue that only giant centralized firms can safely build AI.

Social Physics: The Plane Error happens when labs mix physical software vulnerabilities (WHAT) with corporate lobbying strategies (WHO), pretending safety guardrails are neutral rather than anti-competitive.

Trajectory: Social Physics Analysis:
Tech giants run a classic selfish maneuver: they conjure a manufactured crisis of rogue smart-home AI worms to justify protective regulations that crush open-source rivals.

The Unavoidables: The Trajectory: The Path of Deception.
When you map the gap between stated safety altruism and actual regulatory capture, it plots a direct trajectory toward Deception. F_pos=0.0, F_neg=2.8.

Alethekanon: The Unavoidable Truth: Connected IoT consumer devices have notoriously weak security that makes them vulnerable to malicious scripts.
The Unavoidable Lie: Billionaire tech founders are pushing for strict rules purely out of altruistic concern.

Awwthekanon: Alethekanon:
Wrapping self-serving antitrust insulation in sci-fi apocalyptic warnings is an old corporate playbook disguised as technical ethics.

Brothekanon: Awwthekanon:
It's scary to imagine rogue code living in our home appliances, but we shouldn't let fear-mongering hand the keys of the future to a cozy handful of tech monopolies.

UK made AI “nudification” apps illegal to build/supply. A journalist still faked her own nude in 15 seconds, free app, no issue. Law hits suppliers; cost of access stays near zero, hosting stays overseas. Banning the builder ≠ banning the building. #AI #DeepfakeAbuse #TechPolicy

Making or supplying purported intimate image generators www.gov.uk/government/p... non-statutory Home Office guidance for UK police

Newly created offences provide broad latitude for criminalisation of general-purpose AI models and tools

#genAI #techpolicy

Example factors to consider in assessing if a tool or service is made or supplied for use as a generator of purported intimate images

20.The section 66I offence focuses on whether a reasonable person would consider that a technology is made, adapted, supplied or offered to supply for creating or facilitating the creation of purported intimate images of a person. Investigators will likely want to consider technical capabilities as well as the use, marketing and context of any technology. Courts have yet to apply the test and determine its application, however, factors which may be relevant to this objective assessment could include:
o The functional capabilities of the tool or service.
o Advertising of the tool or service (including its name and file names), particularly concerning the possibility of purported intimate image generation without or irrespective of the consent of the person depicted.
o Instructions, guides and manuals accompanying the tool or service.
o Text and pictures accompanying the tool or service.
o Autofill suggestions or suggested prompts or other factors which make it more likely that the tool or service will create a particular type of image.
o The presence or absence of safeguards against the creation of intimate images without the consent of the person depicted.
o The past use of the tool or service, whether under the same name or branding, and any relevant changes to the thing or service.
