Today in 1977, #BingCrosby, the velvet-voiced singer behind "White Christmas" and decades of film and radio classics, died at seventy-four, after a round of golf in Spain. He was instrumental in developing recording #tape technology for both #radio and #television as an investor in #Ampex.
