I'm keeping up with the cross stitching on the #steotchalong. I included a picture of what is taking up my time - a crochet shawl, or rather, a remake of one that turned out to be a scarf šŸ˜„. (If the extra pic is a problem, please let me know and I'll delete.) #crossstitch

The current steotch along, in the Victorian Violet palette. It's a lot more purple than this pic shows. Camera phones are adequate and not much more.A triangular crochet shawl WIP in ombre purple photographed laid out in the floor.. It's got all kinds of fancy stitches and whatnot. There are a crapton of stitch markers around the outer edge because I couldn't count. Fortunately plastic stitch markers are cheap.

It was apparent almost immediately in the #steotchalong that I had miscounted the top row on two flowers, but I was brand new to cross stitch and fractional stitchesā€”it to so long to make themā€”that I didnā€™t want to redo them.

Pattern 5 forced me to choose: redo or improvise. I chose the latter.

Finished the latest section of the #steotchalong. I found another small counting error but I've already worked around it. I also finished #MuseumAfterMidnightSAL but it's currently awaiting wash/block/iron so no picture. #crossstitch #WIPWednesday

Vaguely 70s style cross stitch WIP in shades of dusty purple. (I like purple.) It says "what wtf now" but that's not what it will say at the end. My guess is that it will say What The World Needs Now and I am already thinking up snarky endings.

Progress on both the #MuseumAfterMidnight and #steotchalong. I had a major and a minor counting error - frogged and redid the major, but I will work around the minor because there is no way I will redo all those 1/4 and 3/4 stitches! #crossstitch

The final exhibit in a Victorian-style museum is a mammoth. Its incomplete shape is being worked on, as evidence by the needle and thread on top of the work.A crossstitch WIP in various shades of purple. It currently says what now surrounded by 70s style flowers.

Progress ion my #crossstitch. I still haven't started the latest #steotchalong part because I've started a crochet project. I am getting tired of cross stitch so once I'm doing with the #MuseumAfterMidnightSAL, I'm just going to be doing steotch and crochet for awhile. #WIPWednesday

Steotchalong through part 2. I'm doing it in the Victorian Violets colorway. I like purple.Part of the 13th exhibit of the museum SAL. This shows a prehistoric bat that may have been diurnal along with parts of earlier exhibits.Two more of the possibly diurnal cross stitched prehistoric bats with parts of previous exhibits.The final part of this week's museum cross stitch exhibit: a pedestal for something large to stand on. It looks an awful lot like it's going to be some kind of mammoth.
