Die 302 der #BOGESTRA in Richtung Buer Rathaus stand heute am Hauptbahnhof Gelsenkirchen. Es handelt sich um die #Variobahn aus dem Hause #Stadler. Das Modell wurde bis 2022 gebaut und kann bis zu 80 km/h schnell fahren. Die ersten Bahnen kamen in #Chemnitz zum Einsatz.

I find it weird they went with 480v charging plugs instead of using pantographs and just electrifying some tracks. I would assume that 25KV charges faster, and raising a pantograph is easier than plugging in a cable…
