Today's #31DaysOfGraves theme is #faith. This tomb for Charles Haddon #Spurgeon has a stone bible showing the passage from 2 Timothy 4, 7-8 which includes the phrase "I have kept the faith." The tomb is in #WestNorwood cemetery.

The bible and the cushion are in a lighter stone to that used for the main tomb.A three-quarter view of the complete tomb showing two faces of it. On top is a chest-tomb-like monument with columns in each corner. The columns are of black stone with lighter coloured capitals and bases. On top is a pitched "roof". On the longer side is an inscription and on the shorter side the roundel with a portrait of the deceased. The main body of the tomb is in a grey stone. This upper part sits on a larger based on the same grey stone. In front in the entrance to the burial chamber with another inscription. The base is made to look like it is made of ashlar blocks (it may well be ashlar, I don't remember) with slight protruding quoins in a lighter stone.
