#Spoonsfest progress: took a bus out to Kirkintilloch to tick a beer that’s eluded me in the city centre. There was nothing wrong with the beer as such, but while I personally would put almost any beer style in a cask, cask Weißbier just doesn't work and I don't understand why brewers keep doing it.

Two more beers tonight, eight to go. I know six of them are in the cellar of one pub, the other two remain elusive. #Spoonsfest. I initially found the beer list uninspiring but I think the average quality of the festival beers has been better than ever.

As of yesterday ticked 20 of 30 #Spoonsfest beers. Now to wait for the rest to appear on the bar. I really enjoyed the Cairngorm beer now the brewery appears to have discovered hops.

I loved it. Adored Yard Arm too, but the Reggae was woeful. May have got a bad pint there. #spoonsfest

with 16 of 30 #Spoonsfest beers ticked my top beers so far are: Otter Reggae; Hook Norton Yard Arm; Oakham Dressed to Impress (joint first). Honourable mention to Titanic On Duty, a masterclass in making fantastic beer at just 3.4%.

So far I think this one is third from bottom. You have to like unannounced coriander. #spoonsfest

First day of #Spoonsfest with 3 of the 30 festival beers ticked. So far Oakham’s stunning Dressed to Impress is no. 1, but I am a little scared I might already have had the best beer.
