Just finished, 65% black alpaca/35% rainbow bamboo plied with black Suri alpaca. Two skeins, 1028 yards. I’ve been looking for Suri fiber for years and got it this year at Fiber Fusion Northwest. Interesting, very sleek, similar to spinning silk, for me. #handspinning #spinsky

Finished winding off the last of the fiber I spun for #tourdefleece2026, finally! Plied, washed, snapped, dried, measured and balled, I have 1445.5 yards of three-ply targhee/targhee/merino. Really looking forward to knitting with it!

Latest spin, Lincoln roving with just a little twist, spun on an Ashford country spinner. I wanted this for peg weaving small rugs and pet beds. The left had gone through a delicate cycle in the washer, the right is just off the bobbin. #handspinning #spinsky

July 5th, and today. Progress!

Improvements are being made, slowly. I still feel like I’m over twisting my singles because my feet get away from me. I’m sure I’ll be ready to tackle a braid of the good stuff soon. #spinsky #knitsky

It’s soooo bad, but it’s yarn and it’s going to get better.

My spinning wheel arrived. It’s currently passing inspection.
