@ermakova.bsky.social⚛️ Six US states are exploring hosting the whole #Nuclear fuel cycle on one site, #SpentFuel disposal included. Why that works: a repository alone is a burden few states want, while a campus is an industry. Would an industrial package change how your region sees hosting waste?
@ermakova.bsky.social⚛️ At Kuosheng the #SpentFuel never left the core, so #Taiwan cannot inspect the reactor it wants to restart. The dry store is built but unlicensed. Casks are safe and keep the fuel retrievable, and a repository can follow later. On an island grid, waiting has its own cost.
