@wangchungtonight.bsky.socialYes, #SiouxsieSioux is still fine and hope Amy Taylor is asking questions.
@georgiosmasman.bsky.socialThe brilliant Banshees 1983 cover of #TheBeatles‘ “Dear Prudence”. The band members had the ability to deconstruct a song & then transform it into something distinctive with their own unique style.

@onehitwondered.bsky.socialSiouxsie and the Banshees’ standalone debut single, “Hong Kong Garden,” became a surprise UK hit, peaking at #7 in 1978… Legend says that Siouxsie’s lyrics were inspired by a Chinese restaurant whose staff were regularly terrorized by racist skinheads. #SiouxsieSioux #OneHitWondered #MusicSky
@onehitwondered.bsky.socialSiouxsie and the Banshees were formed in London in 1976 by frontwoman Siouxsie Sioux and bassist Steven Severin… growing out of the early UK punk scene to pioneer post-punk and goth rock. #SiouxsieAndTheBanshees #SiouxsieSioux #StevenSeverin #OneHitWondered
@theblogginggoth.bsky.socialA last minute addition, #SiouxsieSioux and #StevenSeverin threw a band together at short notice including #MarcoPirroni on guitars and #SidVicious on drums. A twenty minute improv of The Lord's Prayer followed, and the rest is history!
@whitbygothic.bsky.social+++ On this day, 50 years ago, the 20th of September 1976, Siouxsie and the her makeshift band, played at the 100 Club, Oxford Street, London & the rest is history +++
Complete with a certain 'Sid Vicious' seen here on drums & Marco Pirroni on guitar
