Made #shortbread today. Melt in the mouth. Recipe from an hotel chef ages ago. I had to cut it fown from one kilo of flour!

While in #London I bought some Paxton and Whitfield #shortbread. It is very good. I try a lot of brands and am often disappointed. I am happy to say Paxton and Whitfield exceeded my expectations. I now wish I could easily buy more but am glad I can not for my ❤️ health!

Our picture is of a tempting plate of homemade caramel tan slices that sits on a dark, glossy plate lined with a white paper napkin. On top is a generous covering of crumbly, golden shortbread-like pieces, creating a wonderfully rough and rustic texture. The pieces are irregularly cut, giving them a distinctly homemade appearance. The warm golden tones of the caramel and crumb topping stand out against the dark plate and black, polished kitchen worktop. Soft lighting catches the glossy caramel and highlights the crisp, crumbly texture of the topping. Overall, the photograph has the inviting appearance of freshly made caramel tan squares. Rich, buttery, crumbly and wonderfully indulgent. And finally today, our picture is finished with a simple white border frame.
