where my pen went today

to listening with clarity,
intentionality,
in the moment
where the narrative
needs it most.

Poem: Hearing

Hear me please without interruption ~
and I did.

I remember the stillness of listening
intentional listening
as heartbeats ticked and time stretched
and the confession spilled and tumbled
and found a space in me, a quiet pool.

Then,
in the quiet retelling of the mind
unexpectedly, unintentionally
an unsought connection was forged
and the inklings of a redemption,
of atonement, became a possibility.
.

on a quiet grey background…
