The idea, from #Septopolis, of Safe Harbor in a holy war with @adorkablesmile.bsky.social's Amperion made me figure out their fighting capability.

The top two, non-main characters, to look out for would be Lady Bellamy herself (Lvl 10 Paladin), and Knight Captain Gregario Gallant (Lvl 10 Cavalier).

One last revisit to #Septopolis;

While overshadowed by Port Stout, Safe Harbor would likely disappear completely in the shadow of @khonri.com's Galas Castoll with its vast size and greater commerce, infrastructure, and tourism.

Though they'd be fascinated to learn about the beluan.

While people try to settle things amongst themselves, Safe Harbor has a court system with lawyers and judges when legal arbitration is desired. Lady Bellamy is the highest local court authority.

Alternatively, moral arbitration is provided by the Celestial Temple. That rarely escalates.
#Septopolis

The Bellamy family were among the first to support the efforts of the first queen, Ariel de Blanche, to unite the continent of Centre into single queendom.

I'm now thinking the first Lady Bellamy was, like the queen, sainted, so their scallops might be Coquilles Saint Bellamy.

On the topic of taxes and exemptions; across Terre Reine, Celestial Temples and their residents tend to be tax exempt.

In fact, the government pays them for their services (healing, education, etc.). While the Temple takes donations for services, they are not allowed to charge for them.
#Septopolis

Another cultural highlight of Safe Harbor is the great subterranean performance hall in the dwarven quarter.

Carved deep inside the marble cliff, the hall combines elements of dwarven underground cities with Central aesthetics and nautical influences. It hosts plays, concerts, and more.
#Septopolis

Though I picked Safe Harbor for Melody, figuring out trading companies for #Septopolis is more relevant to Cat as a pirate.

She prefers big scores, so she'd go after the bigger companies, like Queen's Company over more local ones like Marble & Vine Co.
Which Queen's Company has since acquired.

Centre's version of chess would be very popular in Safe Harbor.

Based on the balance between land and water, the game might focus more on control of the board, as opposed to the elimination of a specific piece.

The white cliffs around Safe Harbor are the reason white represents land.

#Septopolis

After a whole month of further developing Safe Harbor for #Septopolis, I now know more about their demographics than I ever intended.

30% Humans
25% Dwarves
25% Islanders (Half-Elves)
10% Sandwalkers and mixed (Orcs and half orcs)
5% Gnomes
5% Other (including Elves and Deep Folk/Halflings)

Okay, this sounds like an EXTREMELY awesome setting!

I love building around/in super-structure ruins buried by the desert. Very immediate and unique vibes.

I'm glad I'm catching up now that #Septopolis is over. Zagnat sounds awesome.

#firstdraftfall Our characters live in the town of Mottled Hollow in central New Hampshire. For more on the town itself, check out my #septopolis tag, bc I built it last month. Ash, our protagonist, is a teenage boy from the 1700s living as a crow and serving the witch that turned him. He's rather

I imagine there are many paintings in Nemoria, especially in the visually stunning city of Zonhaspalis I discussed last month for #Septopolis (don't ask why this month is June but last month was September).

A30. Thanks for hosting! This helped me develop new ideas for the small town of Ancus!

Despite magic, miracles, and the best intentions, bad things still happen. So the Celestial Temple is also the main orphanage for Safe Harbor.

Which is how Melody came to reside there and got named Fayth. Her mother left her on the Temple steps during a storm when Melody was 4.

#Septopolis 30!

This was such a fun and useful set of prompts! Learning more about everyone's settings was also a delight! Thank you @khonri.com for hosting!

Well, this was a fun one. Fun fact, if you want to know more about Kingsmount and the world around it, my novel Recursed, and my new novella Justice al Pastor, are both on sale on Itch!

It's my IT'S NOT AMAZON Sale.

Thanks so much #Septopolis and @khonri.com!

I learned about how good the Rochesters are to Eloy (which isn't reflected in Titanic Voyage, so maybe I'm picturing them in the future?). So fun to imagine!

If anyone wants to visit Historytown, it's #FreeOnHoopla or pretty cheap elsewhere.

Thanks so much @khonri.com for hosting! I had a great time figuring out my own setting, but also catching glimpses into other fantastic and exotic worlds i might not have otherwise known about.

I talked about pro sports a few times during the month, so I'll throw in a sports trivia bit

Thanks for hosting, @khonri.com!

This helped me a lot with Cassie’s development and also getting my ideas to be heard.

Thank you for hosting, @khonri.com !

I can't believe September is almost over!

This has been such fun and my city has gone from a mere hypothetical concept to a pretty well fleshed out place!

Thank you for the awesome and thought provoking questions! 🧵
