This afternoon I'm folding paper for Memory Books. People tend to use these as #scrapbooks for anniversaries, family albums, retirements, etc.

Oxblood leather has been a popular choice lately, it's such a lovely option for autumn / fall events.

Bookbinder holds corner of an A4 landscape Memory Book (scrapbook) bound in 'Oxblood' leather with natural grain. A strap in the same colour is fixed to the cover with Tan stitching.Close-up of a bookbinder's hand stitching an oxblood leather Memory Book; we can see inside the first two signatures of the book where the stitches lie. In the background sit the other signatures, along with leather swatches and 4 spools of linen thread in Tan, Green, Orange and Rust. There is also an awl and a Japanese Screw punch.
