#ScienceFictionTheatre TV ep #1.02 "Time is Just a Place" (16-Apr-55).
Simple but good so you can tell it's from prose: Jack Finney's short "Such Interesting Neighbours" in Collier's (06-Jan-51).

Warren Stevens had a similar role in #StarTrekTOS ep #2.22 (23-Feb-68)!

#ScienceFictionTheatre TV 1.01 cont'd.
I can see this being a more tidied up version of its predecessor #TalesOfTomorrow but whether it lands top like eps that show could I don't know yet. But I am sure from this opener which was pretty decent that there'll be no through line to #TheTwilightZone.

Whether it'll be all starchy military men and dutiful wifes like S1 of 1960s #TheOuterLimits (such a disappointment) I don't know, eg Ellen Drew didn't get to act here unlike her appearance on #SchlitzPlayhouseOfStars TV ep #2.31 "The Governess" (03-Apr-53).

The intro/outro by Truman Bradley is good adding needed charisma. It related to the actual story unlike #TheOuterLimits control voice which is too peripheral to its preceding ep.
As TV it's too dry and terse like #TalesOfTomorrow but missing that live TV buzz.
