There is a subset of people in the scientific community who start jumping up and down, screaming, "You're being imprecise!" whenever anyone is trying to write in a way that people who aren't scientists in a very narrow sub-discipline could understand.

When I read this this morning I had NO idea what it meant. A bit of #scicom would have helped. Apparently: "Beauty" is a technical term in particle physics — it's another name for the bottom quark (also called the b quark) etc.....
