The "Speed Demon" car on the car-selection screen in "Cruis'n World." All the cars in the game are fictional but are based on real-life vehicles. The Speed Demon is an obvious analogue for the McLaren F1, which at the time was the fastest production car in the world, and the Speed Demon replicates that in "Cruis'n World."

The start of a race in Hawaii in the game's "Cruis'n" mode. The basic gameplay in "Cruis'n World" follows the formula of a typical arcade racer of the time, and each race plays out in a "point-to-point" format, although races in the N64-exclusive Championship mode take place on circuits.
