#GunGaleOnline delivers what you expect from an #SwordArtOnline spin-off based on a shooter.
It also does some things better than the original (especially in not abusing fanservice). The anime has some pacing issues though.

Might rewatch to get into S2 some time.

#fate_sn_anime #UnlimitedBladeWorks deconstructs the typical shonen protagonist's ideals by bringing the ideal of "saving everyone" to its unhealthy extreme and challenging it constantly and the future it leads to. Rin is the perfect counterpart to Shirou's idealism.

#FateZero combines well animated action scenes with interesting philosophical talks that question the different, historical approaches to being a king, a hero or even peace. Appreciate it for the darkness, hated the 1st eps exposition dump tho.

I'm gonna go a bit deeper into the #fate_sn_anime Universe, but since it adapts a nonlinear visual novel, the watch order can be a bit complicated.

That's why This tweet is basically a thread to collect these episode of #SatPMAnime without nominating a "first" one.

#SwordArtOnline #OrdinalScale was a great movie for SAO fans - while showcasing both the show's strengths and weakenesses: Strong mystery, raised stakes with losing memories... but again, wasted potential (e.g. Shino) or fanservice over mattter (the final showdown)

Also: This is canon

#SatPMAnime

#SwordArtOnline is great in many aspects (ofc it is, it wouldn't be that popular otherwise), but also wasted a lot of potential. Probably everyone agrees at this point that Aincrad was the best arc and Kawahara should have spent a lot more time with this setting.

#Dororo (2019) is a samurai story about the duality of humanity and power/demonhood. The first half is incredibly strong and I loved the idea of making the hero "weaker" with every demon fight he wins. The second half is a bit slower, but makes sense in the end.

#ONEPIECEFILMRED was pretty neat. Despite not being canon, there was lots of nice touches and hints that feel like canon foreshadowing

Cinema was 100% full, though it was a bit of a bummer that they seemed to be unaware about the musical bits. I liked them

It also introduced me to Ado

There's lots of stuff I liked about #DragonBallSuperSuperHero (e.g. fan callbacks, the gammas, focus away from Goku and Vegeta) and lots of stuff I didn't, like the soulless main baddie and how Toriyama scripts save all the action for the last fight.

Insect-like monsters threaten humanity's future in #BlackBullet. 2-person-combat teams - one an analyzer, one a superhuman "Cursed Child" - are established to protect the last shelter.

Banger OP, interesting story, maybe a bit too much lolibait. Still want S2.

#AttackOnTitan tells the story of humans trapped inside walls which protect them from caniballistic titans. The first season mostly revolves around building a world that is an ever-looming threat to humanity, and how they defend themselves, despite lacking power...

#SatPMAnime

#OnePunchMan (S1) takes the shonen formula to the top by making the protag already on top of his power - and cleverly demonstrates that an op character can still be interesting, as the story is no longer about "who is the strongest" but what power does with a character

#rascaldoesnotdream of Santa Claus was hard to get into at first... until I understood that repeated ideas and the lack of stakes for Sakuta are kinda the point. It's actually clever how the anime mirrors the first season to showcase how much Mai and Sakuta grew as a couple
