Oddly, the player character of GODS appeared in a demo to illustrate walking sprites that was included as part of GamesMaster (a game creator utility) on the SAM Coupe in 1992!

End of an era. #Zilog EOL'd the #Z80 over two years ago, now parent IXYS/Littelfuse issue EOL notification for all MCU lines. Got my first Z80 in a #ZXSpectrum in '83 then #SAMCoupe in '93. Made my own Z80 stuff since late 90s. Designed industrial equipment with eZ80 in 2003, plus co-pro on SAM.

MGT met their umpteeth deadline, with several hundred SAM Coupes shipping out for preorders in December 1989, priced at £169 for the 256K/cassette model. The disk drives were running late, following months later in March 1990.

Sadly, this is what some companies did for SAM Coupe support. Delta Charge by Thalamus advertised as for Spectrum and SAM Coupe. But it was purely a ZX Spectrum game - look at the instructions for SAM owners: Load Spectrum Emulator. Deep sigh. Plus it was a pretty crap game.
