-After three days of high-level testing on the CN Super Server, we believe Solar Karma has fully reached S-tier strength.
-With 7 Riftbeast in the meta, Karma is much easier to 3★.
-Hitting 3★ Karma + multiple items early can already create a strong winstreak in Stage 3.
-After reaching Level 6, keep rolling and use Blossom Wisp to reach five 3★ units, while still keeping enough economy to go Level 7 at any time.
-Component usage is very balanced, so your 2nd and 3rd augments can comfortably be item-focused.
-Feed either Yunara /Leblanc as 2nd carry in Stage 4. 3 Carry can help you win the game with top 3 secure.

Wisp tailoring post by Tim/Truexy #TFT #S18

Hey everyone, going to talk about Wisp Tailoring, that's become a lot more prevalent in 18.4.

TLDR: In 18.5, we'll be adjusting some filtering to be less abusable so that Wisp tailoring will be less consistent. Abandon Ship and Beggar's Wisp will also getting nerfed.

Wisp filtering was always meant to be a background tool to help ensure that the available pool of Wisps was reasonable to the player. It was obviously never meant to be abusable to consistently find 1-2 Wisps a turn. This is a case where the lack of variety, and aggressive filtering actually bites us. It's not that the majority of Wisps are "weak", their completely reasonable to take in normal situations, it's that consistency is king (and Abandon Ship/Beggar's Wisp are overtuned).

Showing mastery and knowledge of the game should be rewarded, but there's extremes where it becomes unfun and cumbersome. At the end of the day, we want skill expression to be enjoyable, accessible, and to match what TFT promises as a strategy game. A fair example is buying champions to hold on your rolldown, where it definitely helps if you want to min/max, but it's not going to make/break your game. Knowing how to force Salvager or tailor out every wisp for Beggar's Wisp have a much larger impact, that makes toggling/rapid APM feel like a necessity to compete rather than a luxury.

I agree with Jonathon: Giving more color on what's going on behind the scenes doesn't mean the dev team is okay with Set 18 issues at all. I personally appreciate the candor. #TFT #S18

Definitely not going to minimize the experience, the patch is in a bad state. I do want to at least clarify that the intent here is not to say the team is *okay* with these issues, we aren't, just that we should do what we can to set expectations while things are still unstable.

Why 18.4 was so buggy by Riot BlueVelvet #TFT #S18

tl;dr Patch 18.4 was shipped from the latest shared version of the game ("main") whereas previously they were creating each patch from the one before it. e.g., 18.2 was built from 18.1.

Multiple versions of the patch were floating around.

We’re disabling ranked while we clean up the current issues.

For some context on what happened... 18.4 was the first patch since Set 18 launched where we shipped from the latest shared version of the game (what we call main) whereas for the first few patches of the set we were creating each patch from the one before it, so 18.2 was built from 18.1. While that live line of release was happening everything after 18.4 (patches, Set 19, modes etc) were being built in main. That meant devs had to work twice as hard and ensure they were making the same fixes in multiple versions, which was a messy process and made it harder to keep everything in sync.

This sucks and we should have told you ahead of time that this patch had a higher chance of being unstable. Not communicating this risk is on us and this patch experience is on us. This was a big hump to get over for our release process and we should have shared what was going on.

Patches going forward will be deployed from main again like it was for years. This should ensure we get back to the consistent patch-to-patch experience you expect and we need to deliver.
