@phillipwserna.commusic.youtube.com/watch?v=h5Pj... Probably a controversial opinion, but I've always preferred #RonnieJamesDio-era #BlackSabbath just as I prefer #Dio w/ Richie Blackmore's Rainbow. My inner pre-teen was always drawn more towards his Dungeons & Dragons aesthetic over traditional rock/ metal... 🤘🤘🤘🤘

@rocketboot.bsky.socialOn September 21, 1984, Dio released "Mystery," the third single from The Last in Line.
It's a fun, upbeat track, featuring one of Vivian Campbell's best guitar solos, and of course Dio's lyrics and vocals are true to form.

“Never More” comes from Elf’s 1972 debut, before Ronnie James Dio became known for Rainbow and heavy metal
The song is bluesy and piano-led, with Dio’s young but already distinctive voice up front
@shardikmedia.bsky.socialThe original singer for Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow was Ronnie James Dio. We reflect on those early albums in our series on the band.
