I was struck with a vision and had to see it thru. Have Avery going thru the torment nexus via the King In Yellow getting what he wanted :]

Digital comic featuring Avery and Derek from SFAWTDE/DAWTDE. The colors are a limited palette mainly in shades of brown and yellow with some faded blue for the flowers. The first panel shows Avery looking back with a tear threatening to fall, grinning back sadly saying "Sorry, Derek. It's my turn to save you." The King's large eye is ominously staring at Avery. The second panel shows a close-up of Derlord3, of Derek. He looks horrified, muttering each word louder, "Avery. NO. AVERY." There's a quick shot of Avery's closed eye, the tears now turning gold yellow. The dialogue starts with "Hm. It appears that--" before showing the last panel. Avery is now grinning with gold yellow tears dripping down his face, but now his eyes are glowing yellow, his smile seems more sinister, and there's a glowing crown floating above his head with faded Forget-Me-Nots now growing on his head. The King In Yellow now finishes his sentence, "I got my vessel after all." showing that he successfully took over Avery.
