FIRST #RLWC26 WIN 🦘

First match done! Tough contest between the front runners but might be a very expensive one with Mitch Moses and Kalyn Ponga off, plus Reece Walsh potentially (he seemed to be grabbing at his calf / Achilles?) #RLWC26

What a bloody game! Hell of a way to kickoff the tournament #rlwc #rlwc26 #ausvnz

LOL Bostock casually saying international footy is "similar to Origin". State of Origin is still the pinnacle of the game. #rlwc #rlwc26

An incredible game of rugby league to open the World Cup!

#AUSvNZ FT: Australian Kangaroos 24 defeated New Zealand Kiwis 22 at the Sydney Football Stadium. Sensational from start to finish! How it happened 🏉📰📺👉 https://ow.ly/SGHo50ZXX8b

#RLWC26

In the end I think the Kiwis were their own worst enemy.
#rlwc26

Ponga playing on with a broken arm is insane. Terrible to see him out of the tournament though. #rlwc #rlwc26

What a game, that was worth the subscription fee alone. #RLWC26

Aus 24
NZ 22

Aussies steal a 'W' from nowhere. Kiwis were brave in defeat but should've never let it get to that stage. Cracking game of Rugby League, & the rest have a lot to live up to now... #RLWC26

What a match to start the World Cup 👏👏👏 #RLWC26

International Rugby League is the best version of Rugby League
#AUSvNZ #RLWC26

Wow what a game :) #rlwc #rlwc26

Jack Bostock having a hell of a game. Can't be a whole lot of hat tricks at test level, let alone on debut. #rlwc #rlwc26

Turbo having a bit of a rocks and diamonds night. Mostly rocks TBH. #rlwc #rlwc26

REEEEEEEEEEEECE LIGHTNIIIIIIIIING!!! #rlwc #rlwc26

Walters should hook Mitchell and send him home. Select someone who wants to be there. #rlwc #rlwc26

LOL cheeky 'tackle' by Gagai. Walsh should have been awake to that one TBH. #rlwc #rlwc26

This sounds like an absolute thriller. Would be nice if we could watch it eh? #rlwc26 #ausvnz

Ponga vs Walsh... and this time it's PONGA! Good battle going on :)

#rlwc #rlwc26

And jus' as I say that, Kalyn Ponga jus' steps up & does Kalyn Ponga things to flip the script yet again! #RLWC26
