I've read those books. It was difficult to understand some of what was described in them. Some illustrations (maps, diagrams, etc.) would've been nice.

Even so, it's #Myst, so I'm promoting it.

Atrus strikes me as a bit of a philosopher in how he writes.

It's a shame that such a king of the sea was lost to us with the destruction of Riven.

Inktober prompt no. 10 "mystical"

#inktober #inktober2026 #inkdrawing #riven

last one for today lol. Sheila Goold as Catherine playing this scene a bit different! Not bad, either! Also this is of course before she was ADR'd by Rengin Altay #Myst #Riven

"I thought #Myst was the end of the world...Now i find out there are other worlds... #Riven - The Sequel To Myst".....I have no words. Who the fuck came up with this shit??? XD This is just part one. The entire video is 2h long, but I'll post three short parts where the slogans are being mentioned.

Some animation samples from #Riven. Notice how in one animation we see the cage having an actual door, too! This was later removed as the cage only went up or down.

Some footage of #Riven inside SOFTIMAGE|3D! #Myst

Sometimes, a cloak of shadow can obscure the way forward.

Last one i swear! (Only cause that's literally all there is XD). #Riven being shown on CNN with additional interview footage of @realrandem.bsky.social, @tinselman.bsky.social and Richard Vander Wende (who's name they misspelled..oh dear..)

One more! The #Riven website being demo'ed on MSNBC in a show called "The Site". Cool stuff!

While we're at it, here's #Riven being shown on CNBC with an additional interview with @realrandem.bsky.social

a segment on FOX News showing off the then-new sequel to #Myst: #RIVEN!

To stop the earthquakes, revisions were written into Riven's descriptive book.

I have the complete #Myst, #Riven collection on #GOG, but haven't gone through them yet. It's somewhere one my "to do list in the future" to finish all these games.

Unlike #modern #games, there are no #quest #guides nor quest #logs so you'll have to keep your own #notebook.

I find that #relaxing.

Gehn's Journal provided a window into his ego and madness.
