Due to MS I have to start over from scratch with my singing voice 3 times with the help of a vocal coach & speech pathologist. It’s surprisingly mentally taxing to do it when it’s something came easily for me my entire life until my late 20s.

There’s a short documentary called “Linda and The Mockingbirds” about Linda and Jackson Browne’s trip to Mexico to share and inspire music with younger generations of Mexican, Mestizo and Mexican-American musicians. Now that we’re finally watched this I’ll try to track it down

“We weren’t allowed to do it [ speak Spanish]”
this was still a thing in the 90s & early 00s. I’m Mexican and attended Latinx-majority K12 & lived in Latinx-majority communities until I went to college. I heard teachers snap at Spanish speakers to “speak english” every day of K12

“No woman in her right mind could love you!”

For the curious: Yes, Wednesday and Pugsley went to summer camp in the original Charles Addams cartoons (it reads: “It’s the children, darling, back from summer camp”)
#RetroView #AddamsFamilyValues

Forever glad that I only did educational summer camp-type things growing up- No “Kumbaya”!

The baby’s name is Pubert Addams, which was the original intended name of Pugsley in Charles Addams’ cartoons & illustations. The name was changed before the 1964 sitcom was made.
