Hot take: an enclosure doesn't fix a ventilation problem, it just moves the fumes into a smaller box you still have to open. If the room smells like resin after a print, you need an exhaust path outside, not a tighter lid.

Tip: if you run more than one resin color, keep a dedicated vat for each. Pigment ghosts into the next batch you pour, even after a wipe-down, and a pale grey test print coming out faintly pink is how you find out the hard way.

Water-washable resin skips the IPA and makes cleanup easy. Nobody mentions the durability trade-off up front, and it's not the same across brands. Which ones hold up to handling, which are display-case only.

🦋 Tip: wipe your build plate down with IPA before every print, not just after one fails to stick. A film of cured resin or finger oil you can't even see is enough to make the next print let go early.

🦋 Hot take: a screen protector on your LCD is a bandage, not a fix. If you're buying one for every machine out of habit, the real problem is probably exposure time or a panel that's already dying, and the protector just delays finding out.

🦋 Tip: shake your resin bottle every time you fill the vat, not just the first time you open it. Pigment settles overnight. Fill straight from an unshaken bottle and the batch comes out visibly lighter than the one you loved last week.
