Disband the failing Environment Agency and #ReNationalise water
Just like the other 'regulators', Ofwat is not fit for purpose.
A properly nationalised, joined-up water and energy system, with the public interest its goal, could construct reservoirs that both serve as water sources and as energy storage.
— #Renationalise UK public services
— Prosecute corrupt water & energy company execs & regulators
Note the measures that must be taken all relate to individuals:
—"Households need to respond beforehand – they need to be proactive not reactive”
—"hosepipe bans... likely to stay in place for the foreseeable future"
At no point are water companies required to do anything.
#Renationalise water
➡️ Prosecute corrupt water company execs
➡️ #Renationalise water
Read this for an excellent insight into why Burnham keeps talking about public 'control' of water rather than public 'ownership'👇
Fully #renationalise water
Water companies are failing us. #ReNationalise
Clive, you are a positive trusting person which is to be commended, but Burnham's propasals for water & energy are nowhere near enough.
We need him to stand up to exploitative corporate interests & private equity & #renationalise.
These proposals smack of deliberate obfuscation & misdirection.
Much wailing & gnashing of teeth & oh it was Russia & now it's Iran.
➡️ Zero action on energy company profiteering.
➡️ No real effort to create a fully nationalised renewable energy & storage network that will provide both reasonable price AND national security.
GB Grid "will use money previously allocated to GB Energy to compete with privately owned companies such as National Grid."
Not what's needed - #Renationalise
We should prosecute the criminal water companies and their corrupt water execs.
#Renationalise water
Are you listening, Andy Burnham?
#Renationalise water or go the same way as Starmer.
Nothing has changed. Privatisation has failed.
#ReNationalise
" UK train operator #nationalised by government after 30 years of privatisation "
> #Privatisation of natural monopolies like water, energy and rail has proved to be a disaster for customers and infrastructure investment
So, has this government agreed to a national referendum on bringing the water industry into public ownership?
Of course not.
Just more flannel from Emma Hardy about public 'control' which is specifically *not* public ownership.
