Seen earlier today on the #SBB🇨🇭#Gotthard line: an #SBBhistoric excursion train. The short consist included the red lightweight #DiningCar #WR700 from 1958 and was hauled by an #Re6/6 #Re620 electric. When they were built in the 1970s, these locos were among the world’s most powerful locomotives.

At (and around) #Delémont🇨🇭#Jura and the #Birs/e valley today, southwest of #Basel. Modern #Stadler and #Bombardier/Alstom units are dominating the scene, and there’s a still impressive 1970s #Re6/6 #Re620 in #SBB Cargo livery awaiting some freight duties (mainly gravel/ballast and timber I guess).
