Such a beautiful #Pogues song! I wrote about it on blog @ongewrdliedjes.bsky.social when #ShaneMacGowan died. (Text is in Dutch.)

At the time I was working for a landlord
And he was the meanest bastard that you have ever seen
And to lose a single penny would grieve him awful sore
He was a miserable bollocks and a bitch's bastard's whore

And it's lend me ten pounds, I'll buy you a drink

Cheers!

Nulla di nuovo sul fronte occidentale. All'origine c'erano i grandissimi #Pogues. Ma un fenomeno comunque interessante, di cui purtroppo non so riconoscere la rilevanza. L’asimmetria del #folk #punk | il manifesto https://ilmanifesto.it/lasimmetria-del-folk-punk

Finishing up my dulcimer Christmas album and saved the last track to record as the most complex...the Pogues "Fairy Tale of New York". It's coming along pretty well so far over the past couple of nights. Let me know what you think. #pogues #fairytaleofnewyork
