Meet Dr. Vernon McNeilus (1924–2002), a physician, educator, and passionate botanist who collected thousands of plant specimens and volunteered countless hours at the UT Herbarium. His collections remain an important part of TENN's scientific record. #PlantCollector #HerbariumHistory

Finally got to visit the garden of @fuchsiarius while attending the @gardencomm_gci annual meeting in Portland. The #fuchsia collection is fabulous, of course, but so were our hosts and there were even a few cheeky gnomes to chat with too! #gardencommunity #plantcollector

How many palms 🌴 fit into a crew cab 🙂? My annual pilgrimage to Jeff Marcus of #Floribunda. Jeff is THE leading authority on cultivating palms on this planet. Bill Baker, John Dransfield & colleagues from @rbgkew.bsky.social even named a palm after Jeff: Chrysalidocarpus marcusorum. #plantcollector
