From 29 Sept to 2 Oct, we welcomed 65+ women #peacebuilders from around the world to The Hague for ICAN's 11th Women, Peace & Security Forum: #SecurityReimagined. 🕊️

🇳🇬 Borno State, #Nigeria: With ICAN support, the Allamin Foundation convened the 2026 #SheBuildsPeace Campaign, bringing government, security, traditional & religious leaders together to spotlight everyday women #peacebuilders & the support they need to sustain their work.

📅 The day began with our Welcome Plenary: "Landing Together, Together," before parallel sessions on shrinking civic space, community-led response, survivor-centered approaches to CRSV, & new models of partnership between women #peacebuilders & police.

🤝 We were honored to welcome HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh, a dedicated champion of women #peacebuilders, to join us for the Forum's first two days.

Yesterday, we opened ICAN's 11th Women, Peace & Security Forum in The Hague — 65+ women #peacebuilders from around the world, alongside civil society, policymakers & donors, all here to reimagine what security really means. 🧵👇

🇰🇪 Mombasa, #Kenya: On International Day of Peace, COEC joined learners, teachers & youth leaders to celebrate everyday #peacebuilders. Because peace isn't something that just happens; it's something we choose, every day, through education, dialogue & kindness.
