🌱 This is our open pollinated seedling of Maurizio Vecchia’s #Passiflora ‘La Morellina’ which he named after his favourite wine.
Ours is named after my dad’s favourite wine. Meet #Passiflora ‘Blue Nun’
It’s a tricksy thing but lovely and the flowers stay open for 3 days.

This is #passiflora tucumanensis (previously P. naviculata) which is from high mountainous areas in South America is potentially hardy and I will be testing it next year. It had a bad winter in the greenhouse and this is its first flower this year.

Passion Flowers open today in the garden :-)

#Passiflora racemosa ‘Buzios’ is a particular Autumn highlight with its racemes of lovely pink flowers and colourful balloon like buds dangling from the greenhouse roof.

Today in the garden 22sep26

🌱
#Passiflora racemosa ‘Buzios’ with its glorious racemes of pink flowers colourful both before the flower opens and after it closes. An autumn delight!
It is more correctly P. princeps now, a shame as racemosa is good descriptive name, and might be a naturally occurring hybrid!

🌱
A first flower from the huge #Passiflora ‘Diva’ - a gorgeous hardy polyploid hybrid from David Costen.
It took a long time to flower as the bud just kept getting bigger rather than opening.
Plenty of buds to come!

Interesting, I'm seeing two different colours of flowers from P.gracilens growing on the same plant. Usually pink but there is a whiter form on the right.
