That was the "let's hike down the trail before we leave" year... and I'm pretty sure it's also from the "crab-in-a-tree" year! 😆 It was a great photo! #ParkChat

At some point, I should add up all of the ones I've visited. #ParkChat
Miss you, and glad you were able to catch up later! #ParkChat
What a headline title.... #ParkChat
Thanks. The two goals work together quite nicely. #ParkChat
Your hunt for 300 is impressive especially with your ball parks included. #ParkChat
It was @wanderfilledlife.bsky.social who first had me thinking of some of those in-between numbers. I was happy to hit 100 in the Centennial, the 1/3 and 1/2 marks. etc. I'm in the mid 240s, so definitely looking forward to 250, and then hopefully 300 in a few years. #ParkChat
One of my favorite bands speaking up for our parks and wild places! Pearl Jam Rocks!

Developers want to build a golf course in Westport Light State Park.
Tell Washington State Parks not to allow this awful plan.

A11 Sorry, missed this one last night!
I've never liked fall as much as spring for that reason, I think of PNW winter as the black - or endless dreary gray season. But there are more birds here then, far fewer people out, and it's really not that cold.
I've learned to accept it. #parkchat
Thank you @camarowrx.bsky.social for hosting, and thanks to all the participants as well. I miss participating in #ParkChat in real time, but it's great catching up. These chats are going to inspire me to learn about the nature in my new ecosystem! (pic from Kew Gardens)
A11 My SAD is likely to be worse here because I'm farther north than in the past. But I like that I can walk to do my errands, and public transport can take me to a variety of pretty places. #ParkChat
A10 I don't normally like staying out past my bedtime. But am I far enough north now that I might be able to see the aurora borealis? #ParkChat
A6 My partner and I were just marveling at the beauty of the autumn hawkbit on our walk the other day. Harebells are also a heralded autumn-blooming wildflower. #ParkChat
A4 I've only camped in autumn in the Southwest, where it wasn't too cold. Now I'm indoor camping, still living out of a suitcase! #ParkChat
A3 I grew up in an area of the US known for fall foliage, so I never had to travel far. Apparently, New Forest National Park is the best place to see fall foliage close to my new home, so I should check that out. Plus they have wild ponies! #ParkChat
A2 Growing up in the Northeast, I liked summer weather best, but when I started running XC in high school, the fall weather started to feel invigorating to me. Living in the South the last few years, I couldn't wait for cooler temps. Now in a whole new climate, I don't know what to expect. #ParkChat
A1 Wish I had been prepared with a pic for this question, but my photographic documentation of my time in England has been spotty due to all the moving logistics. We've just shaken off the last teasings of summer, and now there's a nice chill in the air, at least in the morning. #ParkChat
Joining #ParkChat belatedly from London!
The incredible Doublet Pool on Geyser Hill in Yellowstone’s Upper Geyser Basin. Doublet is known for its imbricate vents, gorgeous blue hues, thumps, and - occasionally, heat-ups too. #parkchat #YellowstoneNP #hydrothermal #nature
