This Week:

@tadfilmfest is one of Toronto’s most outstanding film festivals. The audience is wildly engaged, cheering for cool kills & wooting at sardonic one-liners. The festival’s movies—a finely curated collection—are goofy fun.

This truly #PantsWorthy experience runs from Oct 14-18.

On Oct 9, return to Guillermo del Toro’s dark magical kingdom on the big screen for its 20th anniversary.

A fantasy world that may be more terrifying—and more beautiful—than fascist reality.

Knowing that is enough to make you Pale, Man.
#PantsWorthy

Today's Secret Word is... #PantsWorthy.

As in the Pee-wee’s Playhouse pop-up shop in NYC is #PantsWorthy.

So bust out your best gray suit and hop onto your Schwinn bicycle because this is the bestest way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Pee-wee’s Playhouse.

AHHHHHHH!

Terry Fox didn't just marathon across Canada. He ran straight into Canadian mythology.

Run Terry Run explores the extraordinary humanity of Terry Fox...the iconic symbol.

On Oct 9, see why he's a crucial part of how Canada remembers itself. #PantsWorthy

Yo! @fearless_fred & @ed_brisson are the Tango & Cash of @newyorkcomiccon.

Yeah I dunno what that mean...also I dunno which is which either.

Just drop by their #PantsWorthy booth and you'll have a good time.

A 5 year mission has become an enduring vision. 60 years later, the mission continues.

The Sixty-Year Mission: How Star Trek Changed Television and the World explores how Gene Roddenberry’s remarkable vision challenged the conventions of television. Oct 9 this is #PantsWorthy.

Slash's new zombie doc explores the evolution of zombies from Haiti to Hollywood! 🧟‍♂️ Reclaiming roots & digging beneath the blood-soaked spectacle. #BlackZombie #PantsWorthy Halloween homework.

Paul Elia doesn’t tell jokes; he navigates identity, culture and even the comedy (show) business with the disarming honesty and bold confidence of a Detroit Player.

Wanna be a Good Son? @pauleliacomed performs at @comedybardanforth as part of @jfltoronto: Oct 2 & 3. Jokes are always #PantsWorthy.

🎂 Celebrating another year older with unfiltered faces! 📸 Richard Avedon's 100 portraits at @imagecentreto feature Patti Smith, Duke Ellington, and more. Confronting aging with honesty. And it's #PantsWorthy: FREE 🎟️

Hey, #NewYork! #NashTheSlash is coming your way!

Be among the first in New York to see the documentary about Toronto's mysterious, masked musical genius at the @limusichalloffamel this Saturday, Sept 26.

Nash has crossed another border.

And honestly? That's pretty #PantsWorthy.

🎬 Alex Gibney isn't done with Toronto:
@alexgibneyfilm was just here for #TIFF26 with his #Musk doc & as executive producer of #EdwardSaid: Between Worlds.

Now his other doc @knifethefilm comes to Toronto.

This #PantsWorthy doc examines the vile 2022 attack on #SalmanRushdie.

Celebrate creativity at the @deca_arts Fair on today in East Lynn Park.

Featuring a #PantsWorthy community of talented artists & music.

Don’t miss photographer @culturesnap whose striking work captures culture in every frame.

You'll be so "negative!" if you miss this.

One Shall Stand.
One Shall Fall.

A⭐ for #PeterCullen and his incredible voice work.

His final #Transformers performance can be heard in #OptimusPrime: Awakening now playing in theaters.

Paying yo'respects is so #PantsWorthy.

"Autobots, roll out!"

🍿 #TIFF26 #PantsWorthy Rec:

Carrie is the deepest cut #StephenKing adaptation maybe ever. It offers viewers the "kindred spirit" of the Overlook Hotel with a Loser who could easily belong to Derry's IT club.

Don't get Carrie'd away: telekinetic trauma is coming for Chamberlain.

🍿 #TIFF26 #PantsWorthy Recommendation:

You can only become famous.
You can't become unfamous.

Fall outta popularity?
Get cancelled by morons?
Still famous.

You can become infamous.

Welcome Chris Rock's #MistyGreen to @tiff_net.

🍿 #TIFF26 #PantsWorthy Recommendation

Sean Menard's third doc in his "Heritage Minute Trilogy."

So far: 299 Queen Street West (a lost MuchMusic doc) and The Carter Effect (#Raptors basketball).

And now? Cue... #TerryFox.

🍿 #TIFF26 #PantsWorthy Recommendation:

Sung Kang always brought more depth to Han than Fast & Furious probably required.

In Fast Han was always comfort eating.
In Drifter he seems to be emotionally...drifting.

In life there is no GPS, especially if you’re a Drifter…

🍿 #TIFF26 #PantsWorthy: Thrilled #TIFF picked up Duncan Jones' #RogueTrooper, an outlandish animated adaptation of the 2000 AD comic strip. Cooler than Cameron's Avatar! 🚀

🍿 #TIFF26 #PantsWorthy: What's the perfect murder for Patricia Highsmith's final Tom Ripley story? Helen Mirren, Alden Ehrenreich, and Anton Corbijn bring it to life! 🎥

🎧 #TIFF26 #PantsWorthy: A @realkidkoala DJ SET!

Last year at TIFF #KidKoala dropped #SpaceCadet.
This year he’s dropping beats:

🗓️ Sept 10 (Tonight!)
📍 Red Carpet Stage
📍 Yorkville Ave & Bellair St
⏰ 9:30 PM
🎟️ FREE!

If you're wandering around TIFF like a Space Cadet, may as well follow the music.
