Where I live in England, a lot of our churches have what I call architectural beauty as colour is usually lacking.

I am currently exploring and uploading photos for Nico for some of the Camino routes I have been walking recently.

Here's #PamberPriory on the #StJamesWay

🎨 A church transformed into a world of colour and biblical imagery: the richly painted interior in Eschfeld, Germany. Walls, arches and vaults become one continuous work of sacred art. 📷 Victor Kemp #FrescoFriday #WSocialPics #SacredArt #ChurchArt #Eschfeld

Wide interior view of the church in Eschfeld, Germany. Almost every visible architectural surface is covered with colourful sacred paintings. Deep blue, red, gold, green and ochre fields fill the ribbed vaults, arches and walls with biblical figures, angels and narrative scenes. The repeated pointed arches draw the eye toward the altar and create an exceptionally rich, immersive painted interior.
