Sonic larper alert, but even though I love the story, concept, style of Sonic & the Black Knight... I haven't played it ever (I quit Secret Rings as a kid lol). But I love Knight of the Wind, & the final boss theme With Me

~To the Edge~ - Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers
Running Seat of Sacrifice with THIS playing was so fucking hype!
What a fucking banger to send off Shadowbringers' Story, and personally XIV's story didn't peak after this and Endsinger.
Elidibus my beloved.
@zelhachigo.bsky.social#OSTober Day 15: Favourite from a game you haven't played (I love being late.)
~After Confession [from Dawn of Sorrow]~ - Castlevania Harmony of Despair
I hate never being able to play this game, goddamn it co-op Metroidvania sounds so bloody cool
And this arrangement of After Confession? Divine.

Big Walk isn't for me, but the music sounds so wonderfully weird, mysterious, catchy, and calming all at the same time.

The Final Battle from Final Fantasy IX.
I have a love/hate relationship with the Final Fantasy series. I love 6 and 7, but every game I’ve actually tried since I didn’t like so I skipped some, even though some people insist this one is excellent.

Yes, ash upon my scalp, ring the "Shame!"-bells for me: I have never actually played E33. I own a copy, but I never booted it 😅
Still: Watching Creators interact with the game and especially its soundtrack has been a blast to watch and experience.

Platformers don't strike me. The soundtrack is amazing, though.

Jump up, Super Star from Mario Oddysey
Gerudo Valley from Zelda
Serpent Eating the Ground from Bravely Default

I could probably list a thousand answers to this, but I'm feeling chiptune, so we'll go with the Game Over theme from Bomb Jack (GB). Melancholic, regretful, accepting, 4mins long...?
Alberto Jose González is a master

Now, technically, I started Fates Birthright. But I didn't make it very far and I don't remember any of what I played. So I think it counts. :P

I bought 'No Straight Roads' cause 'Vs. Sayu' is really good. Admittedly I did play it for like, an hour and put it down but I do wanna play it soon. I think it's getting a sequel or remake or something, too.

I've always really liked this song, but never played the game.

I still haven’t gotten to play Skies of Arcadia yet, but music like this really, REALLY makes me want to.
@bitsilly.bsky.social14th of #OSTober, my favourite sad song.

Not a sad song in the traditional sense, but it's very. very dreadful. this song in a remake would be insane.

it's calming.

To my great shame, my younger disdain for FPS games kept me from playing this entry in an otherwise beloved franchise. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to it.
@xenodeltaxoxo.bsky.social#OSTober Day 15 - Favorite from a game I haven’t played
Apparently the game this is from is just kind of mediocre, but i fell in love with this song the moment i heard it, it’s literally so crazy that a Famicom is playing music like this!

Xenoblade Chronicles is home to some of the greatest musical suites in Nintendo's modern era. But for all of its bombastic battle tracks and heartrending hymns, my personal favorite piece is the folksy, more low-tempo Fonsett Village day theme from 2.
